Sharmadean Reid MBE will lead an advisory board for online beauty retailer Feelunique

The founder of WAH Nails, Sharmadean Reid, has been appointed as strategic advisor to online beauty retail giant Feelunique.

The British Jamaican businesswoman will head up an advisory board of beauty industry experts in order to provide Feelunique with advice and expertise.

Joel Palix, CEO of Feelunique, said: “Sharmadean is a leading voice among British millennials.

“As someone who is at the forefront of innovation in the beauty industry, her expertise and entrepreneurial flare will prove invaluable to Feelunique as we continue to blaze the trail in revolutionising the online beauty market.”

Feelunique is a popular beauty destination for those aged 19-24 with more than 65% of its customers being millennials, a similar demographic to WAH Nails’ audience.

Reid, who founded WAH Nails in 2009 and was awarded an MBE from The Queen in 2015, said she is looking forward to innovating with Feelunique.

“I am excited to be working with an amazing global retailer who understands that the beauty industry is constantly evolving,” she added.

WAH Nails operates a salon in Soho, London, in the UK, which houses a virtual reality nail design feature.
