Summer wouldn't be summer without super-charged, ice lolly bright shades popping up all over the catwalks. This is where the statement lip gets its 2014 update – with tomato reds and neon oranges in creamy matte textures, set against the prerequisite bronzed, glowing base. The shade needs to be highly pigmented, vibrant, and strong enough to light up the face – think sunny and tropical. The lipstick can either be painted on for a precise, structured look, or smudged on with the finger to create a matte stained finish.
