Digital format to launch in September
The SCS distance learning diploma course will be available to students in an online format from September, enabling a greater interaction between students and tutors. The course will continue to feature a course manager, who will personally provide mentoring skills and encouragement, according to organizers.
“The unique SCS Distance Learning Diploma Course has been running for over fifteen years. During that time we have successfully educated students in Cosmetic Science in every corner of the world, from obscure islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean to bustling more familiar cosmopolitan cities. The course has evolved a great deal over those years. It was originally designed with the cooperation of the Open University and we have managed to keep abreast of the various technological advances by updating our method of delivery since those early days and constantly reviewing the course content. From September we shall once more be evolving and the course will now be available online,” said Belinda Stone, course manager. “The Society view this as such an exciting step forward as the course will manage to retain its individuality and in depth approach to topics, whilst at the same time be seen by the world at large as cutting edge. There will be an enormous scope for future development and enhanced student interaction with one another and our authors.”
