PCHi gears up for 2011 show

New location; new features


This year’s Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) show will play host to a new location and a number of new features when it opens its doors next month. The show which runs from 22nd – 24th February will be held in Shenzhen and as a result organisers, Reed Sinopharm expect the show to be the biggest yet. Almost 240 exhibitors have registered for the event, which will also include several new features.

“With just a few weeks leading up to the 2011 edition of PCHi, we are excited to be presenting a number of new programmes and marketing elements that will help to make our upcoming event one that is truly not to be missed by any industry professional,” said Daniel Chan, PCHi project director.

New features include the Mintel Intelligence Lounge, which will feature six innovative products handpicked by Mintel’s head researcher for the Asia-Pacific region, which visitors will be able to test at the booth. Also new is the Casa Elegancia (House of Elegance), an exclusive hospitality area where selected visitors can network and meet new and existing suppliers.

An iTunes app has also been introduced to help visitors make the most of their visit and will include a visitor’s guide, floor plan, information on exhibitors and an on-site facilities guide. The free app will be available to download at the end of January.

The show will once again hold an extensive conference programme. Two highlights will be The Macho Side of Personal Care, look at the key differences in formulating and manufacturing male grooming products; and Earth-friendly Formulations, which will explore the varied elements of creating green products.

Other features include The China Personal Care & Cosmetics Innovation Awards, co-organised by Reed Sinopharm and Ringier Trade Media, which aims to provide recognition for products launched between 2007 and 2010 that have helped promote China’s personal and home care industries. Categories include Most Innovative Ingredient, Most Innovative Formulating & Processing Technology, Testing & OEM/ODM Services and Packaging & Equipment.
