Helen Browning, Chief Executive of the Soil Association, discusses the benefits of organic farming practices
Organic farming is, in my view, the most attractive way to meet the farming and land use challenges that society faces today. By caring for our soils, it secures the health and wellbeing of all life, including our own. As an organic farmer myself, I have seen first hand the benefits to wildlife, to our farm animals and to the community of people who work with us. The beauty of organic farms is breathtaking, so it’s maybe not surprising that they are making people more beautiful too.
