Kim Kardashian’s long-time make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic has unveiled his debut solo cosmetics line.

The Makeup By Mario collection includes 21 skus, including eyeshadow palettes, highlighters and eye prep products.

Dedivanovic took to his Instagram channel to share the announcement.

He wrote: “I am humbled to finally share with you Makeup By Mario, my first collection of 21 products that I hope inspires play and experimentation.”

The make-up pro is said to favour a less-is-more approach to beauty, according to an interview with People, and has applied this to his cosmetics line.

“Of course you can easily build these up. I feel that we have this explosion of heavy pigments in the last several years and it’s quite difficult,” he said.

This has been mirrored in the brand’s packaging, which uses a simple white packaging adorned with the words ‘By Mario’.

The products are also aimed at a diverse audience, from casual cosmetics users to professionals.

Dedivanovic’s line is expected to launch via makeupbymario.com and sephora.com on 1 October.

From Sephora to KKW Beauty

This year Dedivanovic celebrated 20 years in the beauty industry. He began his career at Sephora as a retail assistant.

Years later, he would go on to launch a collaborative collection with the French retail giant, dubbed Makeup By Mario X Sephora.

After landing a gig with the Kardashian-Jenner clan as their personal MUA, Dedivanovic went on to work with the likes of Ariana Grande, Kate Bosworth and Gabrielle Union.

He was also tapped by the cosmetics brand of Kim Kardashian, KKW Beauty, to launch a dedicated range in 2019.

The KKW X Mario range features a eyeshadow palette, lipstick and duo of lip glosses.

In 2019, his talents were put on show after founding The Masterclass, which presents courses for make-up artistry in the US and UK.
