The make-up brand is moving in on Asia's biggest beauty market following expansion into Taiwan, Hong Kong and South Korea

Japanese beauty brand RMK is driving expansion across the Asia region with the launch of a new flagship store on Chinese e-commerce giant Tmall Global.

Founded in 1997, the brand offers a variety of colour cosmetics and skin care products inspired by the unique make-up looks seen in the world of fashion.

Now, with its first official sales channel in mainland China, the brand is hoping to tap into the strong growth in demand it has seen from Chinese tourists visiting Japan, as the trend for 'J-beauty' continues to be a hit with consumers.

Shoppers can now browse its range of 178 select skus from its core line-up, including its best selling RMK Liquid Foundation, said to be a game-changer in the 1990s as a foundation that focuses on enhancing the skin's natural beauty rather than concealing blemishes.

Today, RMK is available in 129 bricks-and-mortar stores in Japan and 36 across the Asia region, including 14 in Taiwan, 6 in Hong Kong, and 16 in South Korea.

The brand also said it plans to make more products from its range available on its Tmall site in the coming months.
