Beauty giant MAC Cosmetics has finally opened the doors to its new Liverpool One store, UK.
The Estée Lauder Companies-owned make-up brand announced the Paradise Street store’s opening in March, which was expected to open on 10 April, prior to the Covid-19 lockdown.
Today, the full details of the 2,650sqft space have been released, and MAC’s virtual try-on technology plays a central role.
In-store, customers will be able to digitally sample an extensive range of eye and lip shades using photos or in real time.
The technology forms part of the brand’s Covid-19 safety measures rolled out in order to protect customers and staff from transmitting the virus.
“The opening of the new MAC Cosmetics flagship is a much-anticipated event for the many brand devotees in the Liverpool area,” said Alison Clegg, Director of Grosvenor Europe, which manages Liverpool One.
“This is yet another significant launch for Liverpool One to celebrate post-lockdown and MAC’s entrance is set to strengthen Paradise Street as a beauty hub in its own right, alongside Morphe and Too Faced.”
The announcement comes weeks after the beauty brand inked a retail deal with Boots in an effort to make its products more accessible to high street shoppers.
