HCT Group takes full ownership of China’s HCT Kent Packaging

The packaging group has plans to double the size of the factory, which it co-founded in 2006

HCT Group has acquired 100% ownership of HCT Kent Packaging Ltd, which it co-founded with Taiwanese businessman Kent Lee in 2006.

The deal sees HCT Group take full control of a 500,000sqft Chinese factory specialising in plastic injection molding, extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding.

Jenny Hsu, Chief Strategy Officer, HCT Group, explained that the company has plans to scale up the facility.

She said: “We have plans to double the size of the factory to increase capacity, which will allow us to aggressively capture business historically left on the table.

“In addition, this acquisition will give us the ability to expand our product offerings and serve new markets, while delivering the same great quality and service that HCT Group has always been known for."
