Fashion house Jacquemus, which counts Kendall Jenner and Rihanna among its devotees, is making its way into the beauty arena in a new deal with Spanish fragrance and beauty owner Puig.
The deal has not yet been confirmed by either Simon Porte Jacquemus, the fashion designer behind his eponymous brand, or Puig. However, according to WWD, the project is earmarked for introduction in 2022.
No further details about the potential product line have been released.
Jacquemus is not the first and will not be the last fashion house to venture into the cosmetics arena, with plenty of fashion groups attempting to revive their beauty offering.
In April this year, Valentino followed in the footsteps of its fashion rivals to launch its first-ever colour cosmetics line.
Meanwhile, the licence for DKNY, which has lacked any development for its scent collection, was recently bought up by fragrance manufacturer and distributor Inter Parfums for a long-term agreement.
Also this year, high street fashion brand Mango rebooted its cosmetics line with a new collection of scents for men and women, inspired by Mediterranean culture.
