Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has named the Creative Director of its upcoming Balmain Beauty brand.
The appointment follows a licenship deal between ELC and the French fashion house in September 2022.
Hans Dorsinville joins Balmain Beauty and ELC from advertisement agency Gotham, where he spent three years as Chief Creative Officer.
Maybelline and Essie are named as Gotham clients.
Dorsinville was previously Chief Creative Officer for Select World – a US-based brand building agency – and has worked for fashion house Donna Karan.
“Humbled and excited by this amazing opportunity,” Dorsinville wrote in a Linkedin post.
“Thank you Olivier Rousteing, Guillaume Jesel and Estée Lauder for choosing me to help create a new vision of beauty,” he added.
“A new chapter begins.”
Balmain Beauty is slated to launch in 2024.
Nathalie Berger Duquene was named as the new SVP and Global General Manager for Balmain Beauty in October 2022.
Berger Duquene will play a key leadership role in the development of retail strategies and innovations for the beauty collaboration, the details of which have not yet been revealed.
Balmain was founded in 1945 by Pierre Balmain, and operates stores in New York City, London, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami and in Milan.
