American cosmeceutical brand Dr Perricone is releasing Blue Plasma, a new facial serum that is claimed to brighten the skin and improve overall luminosity.

Described as a "liquid serum exfoliator," Blue Plasma is said to target anyone with dull-looking skin, enlarged pores, imperfections or skin lacking luminosity. Its name comes from the formula's use of copper, which gives the serum a distinct blue colour. Regular use is claimed to help remove dead skin cells, purify pores and rebalance hydration in the skin.

Blue Plasma launches exclusively at upscale London department store Harrods in February, following a wider roll out in March. It will be priced at £78.
