Brad Pitt has been inspired by the success of Gwyneth Paltrow’s beauty and wellness brand Goop with the launch of his debut genderless skin care range Le Domaine.

“I love what Gwyneth has done with Goop,” the star of Fight Club and Inglorious Basterds said in an interview with Vogue Magazine. “She has always had that in her as a curator, and it’s been a lovely creative outlet for her.”

The four-strong collection features a Serum, Cream, Fluid Cream and Cleansing Emulsion, with prices ranging from £60 to £290 and refill option available for a reduced price.

Pitt said the formula and brand ethos was inspired by the vineyard of his Château Miraval property in France.

He worked with brand co-founders, the Perrin family, to restore Miraval, sourcing ingredients from the estate’s grapevines which feature in the range.

GSM10 and ProGR3 form the core key ingredients for the collection, which have been included to slow the process of skin ageing.

GSM10 is made from a combination of marc (the refuse of grapes) from grenache seeds, syrah seeds and skins associated with a post-biotic microorganism which is beneficial to the skin microbiome.

ProGR3, meanwhile, is the result of research on progeria and its main mechanism, progerin toxicity.

It features a combination of three natural molecules present in plant extracts, vine sarments (year-old woody vine canes), camomile and green tea.

The brand said it wants to “give everyone, regardless of gender or skin type, the opportunity to age well”.

Pitt added that the “local approach” has had a direct effect on the efficacy of the products, thanks to the freshness of ingredients that are picked directly.

“There is no waste in nature. Anything left over or discarded becomes food for something else. This exemplary circular system is the inspiration for Le Domaine.”

Pitt and Paltrow were previously engaged from 1994 to 1997, and now maintain a close friendship.
