The remake of the 1994 film is set to hit cinemas on 19 July

Celebrity make-up artist Sir John and Luminess Cosmetics have teamed up to release a cosmetics range inspired by Disney’s The Lion King.

The launch comes as the eagerly anticipated remake of the 1994 animated film prepares to hit cinemas in July, starring Seth Rogen, Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor and James Earl Jones.

The collection features a range of high pigmented formulas with colours inspired by the African landscape for both day and night looks.

This includes an eyeshadow palette, sculpting palette, two lipsticks, two liquid lipsticks, lip balm and highlighter (from US$24).

Meanwhile, its packaging is inspired by iconic scenes and characters from the film.

Sir John has worked with A-listers including Naomi Campbell and Beyoncé - who voices Nala in the new film - and currently works as L’Oréal Paris’ make-up ambassador.

The collection is now available from luminesscosmetics.com, shopdisney.com and ulta.com.
