Beauty advent calendars have soared among UK customers between 2016 and 2019, according to new research by US-based data analytics provider Semrush.
The results, showed Beiersdorf-owned Nivea had the second highest advent calendar search figure with an increase of more than 2,500% between October 2016 and September 2019, missing out on the top spot to Cath Kidson’s Christmas calendar.
Jo Loves came in third with a boost of more than 1,600% while searches for Atelier Cologne’s luxury advent calendar grew by more than 1,000% between 2016 and 2019.
Retailer’s including Cult Beauty, John Lewis, Debenhams and Fenwick also made the top ten, as did L’Occitane’s Luxury and Classic calendars.
Semrush’s study also named the most searched for beauty advent calendars over the last three years.
Boots’ No7 came in second with almost 5,000 monthly average searches, missing out on the top spot to Yankee Candle, which bagged more than 11,000.
Meanwhile, Jo Malone London, Lookfantastic and Lush were also named in the top ten.
