In response to the growing number of ethically-conscious consumers, direct selling brand Avon has launched a new ‘clean’ range of beauty products.

Dubbed the Distillery range, its vegan-friendly formula is said to be blended without using alcohol, fragrance, artificial dyes, mineral oil, essential oils or chemical sunscreens, and on average each product contains 15 ingredients.

First to launch will be the brand’s 5-sku skin care range featuring a cleanser, vitamin C booster, facial oil, moisturiser and night cream (from £15).

Meanwhile the make-up range, launching in 2020, comprises a liquid lip concentrate, seven eye shadows, a pressed-powder foundation and mascara.

“Consumers are increasingly concerned with products that have unrecognised chemicals and are opting for natural choices,” said James Thompson, Avon’s Chief Beauty and Brand Officer.

“They know that every choice they make has a consequence and an impact on the planet [...] and they’re not willing to compromise their values anymore.”

He added that Distillery was a “significant step” for the brand as it attempts to turn around the struggling business.

“We hope that both consumers and representatives feel as proud as we are of this game-changing collection,” Thompson continued.

The products are now available to purchase online via avon.uk.com and through its representatives.
