More than 5,000 trade professionals from over 31 countries are expected to attend 2012 Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) conference and exhibition, which will be held 27-29 February in Shanghai, China.

The PCHi conference provide an opportunity for manufacturers and suppliers to hear about the latest industry trends in skin care, hair care and colour cosmetics, which are among the most popular cosmetics in China, while delegates can learn more about China’s regulatory framework in the conference’s Regulatory Summit.

A new addition to this year’s event will be the PCHi Product Zone, featuring 35 companies exhibiting specialty products from four segments: colour cosmetic ingredients, cosmeceutical ingredients, flavours and fragrances, and natural extracts.

And French cosmetic and perfumery organisation, Cosmetic Valley, will participate for the first time at the PCHi exhibition, which will showcase products from 280 companies.

“In recent years, more and more businesses have begun to recognise the importance of the Chinese cosmetics and toiletries market,” said Daniel Chan, PCHi project director. “As a result, PCHi has been growing year on year and we anticipate that the coming edition will have even more attendees than ever. We are excited about PCHi 2012 because we are introducing more new marketing elements to aid exhibitors and visitors alike in their businesses.”
