New Leadership for Vantage’s desert whale jojoba brand

Vantage is pleased to announce the hire of Michael Young, who will be leading their global Jojoba business. In this key leadership role, Young will head the commercial team around jojoba products, drive the development of new jojoba-based products and identify key business opportunities in the space. “We continue to invest in our jojoba business; we see tremendous growth in the naturals market” says Patrick Brueggman, Senior Vice President / General Manager of Vantage Personal Care.

Young has been a leader in the specialty ingredient business for over 17 years, 8 of those years in Personal Care and has worked for companies such as Ashland Inc., Aqualon, General Electric, and Nalco Chemical Company. Vantage is vertically integrated and involved in every aspect of the jojoba supply chain -- from farming to oil extraction to derivatives manufacturing. Owning multiple sources of jojoba, with farms located 5,000 miles apart, in regions that have different growing seasons and weather patterns, will help to further ensure a reliable supply of Vantage’s jojoba products.

Over the course of almost 40 years, Vantage’s jojoba business has built expertise in the development, production and supply of environmentally-friendly cosmetic ingredients through green, sustainable practices.
