Montblanc has appointed singer John Legend ambassador of its Legend fragrance collection.
The 45-year-old stars in a new campaign for Montblanc Blue – the latest flanker in the luxury accessory brand’s Legend line.
He will also front the four other fragrances in the flagship collection, reported WWD.
Legend is an American singer, songwriter, pianist and record producer who has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.
He is estimated to have sold a total of ten million albums.
“Montblanc is an enduring maison that is synonymous with craftsmanship, innovation and creativity, and Legend reflects these values with its original and beautifully crafted fragrances,” Legend said in a statement, reported WWD.
“As a writer and composer, I love that Montblanc enables people to write their stories beautifully with precision and care.
“And in doing so, craft their own legacy and legend.”
Rumours first began circulating that a collaboration could be on the cards when Legend performed at Montblanc’s 100th anniversary party in Los Angeles in May.
Legend is no stranger to the beauty world, having launched his own skin care line, Loved01, for people of colour last year.
His gender neutral line comprises products that tackle the specific skin care challenges of people with melanin-rich skin.
Montblanc is not the only brand to expand its reach lately with a new celebrity face.
L'Oréal Paris landed Nigerian actress Temi Otedola as its first African Digital Ambassador.
Beauty supplement brand Nutriburst has also signed footballer Mary Earps to its roster.
