The trend in surfactants for shampoos and personal cleansing is towards mildness, avoiding ethoxylated ingredients and sulfates, and claiming green and sustainable credentials. The trend in emulsifiers is similar, with added benefits attributed to those that can be used in cold processing or promote liquid crystal formation.
