Pure Beauty talks to Linda Anderson, Cosmetics Group Buyer at Beales Department Store, about the business of beauty buying.
How did you become a beauty buyer?
I went to work for Boots when I was 16, having planned to become a nurse when I could train at 18, but I got the beauty bug. I was trained by Boots and worked for No 7 and then Estée Lauder. I left Estée Lauder to work for Debenhams and learn the buying side of the business. I became a beauty buyer after joining Jenners Edinburgh, where I stayed for over 18 years before joining the Beales Group.
