UK-based beauty and personal care manufacturer, Herrco Cosmetics, has been accredited with ISO 13485 (Medical Devices). Having this accreditation means Herrco Cosmetics manufactures to the quality standard required of the medical devices, and complies with all applicable regulations.
This enables them to manufacture liquids, creams and semi-solid, non-sterile medical devices for dermal conditions across the medical, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
They had to revise their Business Management System to cover the high standard needed to manufacture medical devices, as the requirements differ from the traditional expectations of the production environment.
The ISO Auditor commented, "You were really well prepared and it was a pleasure to work with you on this certification process".
