Lush sister B to debut cocktail-bar concept

Lush’s sister store, B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful, is launching a brand new concept to coincide with the opening of its flagship store on London’s Oxford Street. The B Bar, which is due to launch in Oxford Street and Covent Garden in October, will offer customers a cocktail-bar experience to complement their make-over. The flagship store also marks a new era for B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful, being the first store not twinned with a neighbouring Lush.

The brainchild of head make-up artist, Charlotte Matheson, and inspired by Sex And The City, The B Bar features six cocktail-themed looks. Fifth Avenue, for instance, is inspired by burlesque siren Bettie Page, while The Bellini is described as a natural first-date look.

In addition, The B Bar offers concepts like Absolut Hunk, Absolut Bride and As Seen On, whereby customers are encouraged to bring in make-up looks they’ve admired on TV and in magazines, and each make-over is accompanied by a free vodka-based cocktail.

Outlining the concept behind The B Bar, Matheson said: “I am always ultimately inspired by the people I meet who always say the same thing at the end of their make-over: Can I take you home with me so you can do my make-up every day?

“The B Bar is a professional service where you meet make-up professionals who can transform your look for any occasion, any day of the week.”

B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful has also launched a colour make-up collection for autumn/winter, featuring several new shades, and a range Christmas gift products, including themed packs such as All That Glitters and Dear John Gift Set for men.
