The L’Oréal BOLD and Unilever Ventures-backed hybrid make-up and skin care brand has named the former BeautyBio President as its new CEO

Live Tinted has appointed former BeautyBio President Sherry Jhawar as CEO.

Jhawar joins the L’Oréal BOLD (Business Opportunities for L’Oréal Development) and Unilever Ventures-backed brand as CEO in a “full circle moment”, after supporting the hybrid make-up and skin care as an advisor and board member.

Jhawar confirmed the news in a LinkedIn post and wrote:“I am incredibly excited to share that I have joined Live Tinted as CEO.

“Over the years, I have had the privilege to watch Live Tinted co-founders, Deepica Mutyala and Neilesh Mutyala, pour their hearts into building this incredible company.

“I have watched their vision grow from an idea into a beauty brand for all tints carried in thousands of stores across North America.

“I have had the honour of supporting the company as an advisor and later as a board member, and now, in what feels like an incredible full-circle moment.

“I am so inspired by what Live Tinted stands for.

“The brand mantra ‘It feels good to be seen’ is one I connect with so deeply.

“If you have not tried the products, you must.

“And to the Live Tinted team: I cannot wait to build with you.”

The appointment follows L’Oréal BOLD being named among the businesses that invested in Live Tinted earlier this year..

The funding round, led by venture capital firm Curate Capital, saw investments from BOLD and from existing investors Unilever Ventures and Monogram Capital.

Early backers, including Jones Road Beauty founder Bobbi Brown; Toni Ko, founder of NYX Professional Makeup; and Birchbox co-founder Hayley Barna, also participated.
