Yofco MAS, the ester of macadamia nut oil fatty acids and soy phytosterols, is now Ecocert certified. This certification demonstrates that Yofco MAS is an environmentally friendly ingredient, derived from renewable resources, manufactured by environmentally friendly processes and has met the certification standards to make "natural" and "organic" claims. Yofco MAS is plant derived analogue of cholesterol esters, which are intercellular lipids in the lamellar structure of the stratum corneum and play an important role in the barrier function of the skin.
