LG H&H, the parent company of premium cosmetics brands including su:m, belif and Whoo, saw total company sales, operating profit and net profit reach the highest figures to date in Q3 2016.
Sales grew 12.7% year-on-year to ₩1.6 trillion, while operating profit grew 28.4% to ₩244bn. Meanwhile, net profit grew 41.2% to ₩192bn. The latest sales increase represents the company’s 45th consecutive quarter of growth since Q3 2005.
In the company’s cosmetics arm, sales grew 26.5% compared with Q3 2015 to reach ₩742bn.
High growth in the luxury cosmetics division boosted this figure.
Luxury cosmetics were up 44% year-on-year, with brands including Whoo, su:m and other major brands outperforming and growing 80% compared with the prior year quarter in DFS.
In China, Whoo counters grew from 124 at the end of 2015 to 150, while nine new su:m counters are planned for the end of 2016.
