La Prairie has cut the ribbon on its first airport boutique in Asia, in China’s Beijing Capital International Airport.
The Swiss luxury skin care label’s new space is located in the airport’s Terminal 2 retail concourse and was designed by representatives from the school of Swiss Contemporary Architecture.
The architects’ visual approach was rooted in nature, according to the brand, incorporating wood, mineral elements and natural materials. And the boutique is punctuated with sculptures designed to represent each of La Prairie’s key skin care collections.
“We are very excited about the opening of La Prairie’s new travel retail boutique in Beijing, which we feel perfectly represents our quest for timeless beauty – a quest that we have pursued since the founding of our house on the shores of Lac Léman in Switzerland in 1931,” said Greg Prodromides, Chief Marketing Officer of La Prairie Group.
“Indeed, La Prairie’s store design is inspired by the authentic, sophisticated elegance of Swiss Contemporary Architecture.”
The implementation of La Prairie’s Beijing Capital International Airport boutique was supported by CDF-Sunrise Duty Free, a subsidiary of China Duty Free Group.
