The French beauty group has also become a minority investor in the Parisian fashion brand

L’Oréal Groupe has entered into a long-term, exclusive beauty partnership with independent, Paris-based fashion label Jacquemus.

The deal has been further solidified by L’Oréal’s minority investment to support Jacquemus’ development.

Founded in 2009 by French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus (pictured), the maison is well-known for its viral fashion shows.

These have included runways passing through fields of lavender or wheat, and, more recently, shows at notable locations, including the canal of Chateau de Versailles.

The brand’s line-up includes ready-to-wear clothes and accessories collections for both men and women, which reference the French way of life.

L’Oréal’s investment comes amid the digital-first brand’s expansion into physical retail, marking a new chapter for the maison.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jacquemus and unleash together its outstanding luxury beauty potential,” said Cyril Chapuy, President of L'Oréal Luxe.

“With its singular brand positioning, fueled by sensational creativity and social first playfulness, Jacquemus will perfectly complement L’Oréal Luxe’s portfolio of iconic brands and reinforce our worldwide leadership.”

Porte Jacquemus, founder, President and Creative Director of the brand, added: “15 years ago, I began dreaming of and creating Jacquemus, with perfume and beauty always part of my vision for the brand.

“Today, I am proud to continue shaping this dream with the leading beauty group, L’Oréal. I’m excited to see what the future holds for us.”
