Eucalyptus and bilberry could be the next trending ingredients for skin hydration, according to new research by Kao.
The Japan-based owner of Bioré and Kanebo found the combination of both extracts increased autophagy activation to help retain skin hydration.
Autophagy, which literally means ‘self-eating’, is the process within our cells where unwanted or dysfunctional proteins are degraded into amino acids to be recycled into new proteins.
