K-beauty manufacturer Cosmecca has signed an agreement with Spanish cosmetic ingredients firm Vytrus Biotech.
The commercial agreement will see the companies research cosmetic ingredients based on plant stem cell technology.
ODM company Cosmecca will bring its expertise in skin care R&D to the partnership, as well as its K-beauty trends knowledge.
Vytrus, meanwhile, will contribute its biotechnology platform for plant stem cell-based cosmetic ingredients.
“Coming to an agreement with Cosmecca Korea is an opportunity for Vytrus Biotech to bring to the Korean market the best of European technology innovation in the cosmetic industry while integrating the outstanding and trending K-beauty perspective of Cosmecca Korea into our future developments,” commented the Sales Director of Vytrus Biotech, Daniel Robustillo.
Cosmecca Korea was established in 1999 and has facilities in South Korea, China and the US.
Vytrus is present in Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia.
Its latest ingredient launch, Photobiome, won Bronze in the Best Ingredient Awards at this year’s edition of trade show in-cosmetics Korea in July.
Photobiome protects and nourishes skin’s bacteria, modulating their release of natural photo-defence molecules to improve signs of the photoageing process on the skin.
