French beauty and fragrance giant Chanel has appointed Julien Gommichon as Executive VP of the company’s US Fragrance & Beauté division. Gommichon succeeds Christine Dagousset, who became Global Deputy General Manager of the same division in March this year, replacing Andrea d’Avack. Dagousset is due to become global president for the Fragrance & Beauté division in 2015.
Gommichon moves to the new role from his position as GM and MD for the Middle East and India, and will report to John Galantic, President and CEO for the US. In a separate move, Aude Appolinaire has been named SVP of Sales at the firm’s Fragrance & Beauté division. The position was vacant, but was formerly held by the now SVP of Fashion Wholesale, Joyce Green.
