The make-up artist and brand founder has created two Air Max Dn colourways with the athletic apparel brand inspired by female athletes

Isamaya Ffrench is the latest name in beauty to be inspired by female athletes.

The make-up artist and founder of Isamaya Beauty has joined forces with Nike to create two colourways of the sportswear brand’s Air Max Dn trainer.

The Isamaya Ffrench x Nike Air Max Dn will be available in beige and chocolate brown – colours channeling Ffrench’s make-up range – from 20 December.

Ffrench also reimagined the trainer’s silhouette, which leverages a dual-chamber, four-tubed Nike Air unit for maximum bounce.

“For me, the most inspiring thing about the Dn silhouette is how much opportunity it presents to play with texture, colour and materials,” Ffrench said.

“My favourite parts of the design are probably the rand and heel, where we were able to add metallic tones underneath a glossy acrylic.

“Giving those parts of the shoe an even more extreme and textural look, juxtaposing them against the matte of the upper and sole.”

In an Olympic year that saw beauty brands fully tap into the selling power of athletes, Ffrench revealed Isamaya Ffrench x Nike Air Max Dn was created with the help of female athletes.

The British brand founder added: “It has been inspiring, working with athletes throughout this journey with Nike – and humbling to feel that the things I am creating help these women feel good, and give them confidence to perform at their peak and define their own authentic creativity in expression.”

Ffrench is well-known for her collaborations both within and outside of the beauty industry.

The 35-year-old’s CV boasts beauty creator roles at Christian Louboutin, Dazed Beauty, Byredo, Burberry and Off-White.

And earlier this year, she teamed up with fitness-inspired skin care player FaceGym to create a new beauty tool.

Ffrench launched her eponymous brand in 2022.
