After teasing fans for weeks on social media, Harry Styles’ beauty brand Pleasing has finally revealed that it is dropping its first make-up collection today (September 29).
The 'As It Was' singer is leaning further into the fashion world with this limited-edition drop, in collaboration with Brazilian-born, Paris-based fashion designer, Marco Ribeiro, who is known for his use of unbridled colour and strong geometric shapes.
The Pleasing x Marco Ribeiro Collection is said to “act as a call to arms for creativity and experimentation” and continues the brand's mission to "bring together joyful experiences and stimulating products".
It comprises a palette of Pressed Powder Pigments, trio of Universal Cream Pigments, multi-use Gloss Medium and five new shades of nail polish.
The Pressed Powder Pigments palette is made up of eight wet-to-dry colours and the Universal Cream Pigments box contains three shades of intense creams designed to be worn alone or mixed together.
The Gloss Medium is a high shine gloss for eyes, lips and skin that pairs with the colour cosmetics to transform the formulations further.
The brand’s first foray into make-up was announced on Pleasing’s Instagram account in a video which showcased the bright pigments being used on models to create big, bold, statement looks.
The caption said: “Continuing our mission to bring together joyful experiences and stimulating products, this collaboration focuses on intense pigments and offers Pleasing’s first foray into make-up.
“Encapsulated across the entire Pleasing x Marco Ribeiro Collection are shared touchpoints of creativity that align Ribeiro’s colourful vision with that of our own.”
The Pleasing x Marco Ribeiro Collection lands today on pleasing.com at 9am PST, 12pm EST and 5pm BST.
Styles launched his personal care brand Pleasing in November last year, focusing mainly on nail polishes and skin care.
This latest celebrity launch follows a backlash by beauty entrepreneurs against Brad Pitt’s Le Domaine brand in light of perceived market saturation by A-list-owned ranges.
