Expert clinical grading:
for “Visual Improvement in” or “Clinical Improvement in” fine lines, wrinkles, acne, pores, etc. Expert Grading is an Objective, Clinical Endpoint that comes with the potential for statistically significant improvements in underlying conditions. Grading allows for 3-5 parameters to be measured simultaneously and it is often the base of our clinical study designs.
Biophysical instrumentation:
Instrumentation is more specific to individual percentage based parameter, and you generally have to know more about the endpoint you’re searching for with a very tailored focus. VCS has a wide range of instruments which measure physiological or observable changes in the skin, and by utilising these tools we can provide support for claims such as “Hydrates by up to 85% in as a little as one use” or “helps improve the skin’s natural barrier.”
Clinical photography + analysis:
For more visually representative consumer facing data, Validated Claim Support provides industry leading studio based before and after photography. Our images are accepted on QVC and HSN and provide an extremely highly detailed consumer friendly endpoint which can be further supported with direct analysis from the underlying image data.
Consumer subjective perception:
When paired with clinical studies, photography, or safety in use Consumer Perception can provide insights into how a product makes people “look” and “feel.” This type of testing casts the widest net, but it is not inherently “Clinical” or “Objective” and it is very important to ensure you use any subsequent claims language carefully as not to mislead the consumer.
