Beauty Pie has appointed former British Vogue director Nicola Moulton as its new Editorial Director as the subscription beauty brand continues to grow its footprint in the industry.
Nicola Moulton
Credited with helping bring the direct selling brand to a wider audience with British Vogue, Moulton brings years of editorial and strategic experience to the role, having worked as Creative Director for communications agency SEEN Group as well as her time at the fashion and beauty industry staple.
Now, she will lead content creation and strategy across all of Beauty Pie's digital and social channels as the brand seeks to further connect with and expand its community of luxury beauty fans.
Commenting on Moulton's appointment, Marcia Kilgore, founder of Beauty Pie, said: “Nicola is not only really talented and experienced with luxury beauty and wellness, she’s got a modern view of how the new media content ecosystem works, and will help us create a constant stream of great elevational editorial for our audience.”
Founded by Kilgore – the beauty brains behind Bliss, Soaper Duper, FitFlop and Soap & Glory – in 2016, Beauty Pie offers subscribers luxury beauty products across colour cosmetics, skin care and fragrance without the expensive retailer mark-ups.
Last year, the brand made its first foray into physical retail with a pop-up at Harvey Nichols in London, UK, which included an 80% discount for members.
Moulton added: “Since I first broke the story about Beauty Pie when I was still at British Vogue, I’ve been obsessed by Marcia’s genius idea to reinvent the way we buy beauty.
“I can’t wait to bring new editorial ideas and energy into the mix.”
