Luxury ayurveda beauty brand Forest Essentials has made its first entry into the international beauty market, in a new deal with Lookfantastic.
The UK becomes the first country the Indian brand has entered outside of its home market, and will offer its range of skin, body and hair care skus.
Forest Essential hopes to penetrate the UK market with its move to the online site and predicts strong sales growth through the link up.
The deal is a major win for the upcoming Asian brand, and will sit alongside Lookfantastic’s 660 premium brands, from Armani Beauty to Elemis and Floral Street.
Lookfantastic, which is owned by Matthew Moulding’s Manchester-based The Hut Group (THG), is noted as one of the major pure play beauty sellers, along with Cult Beauty, now also owned by THG, and Feelunique, which was bought by Sephora earlier this year.
Speaking about its UK entrance, Samrath Bedi, Executive Director for the brand, said: “Ayurveda has gained acceptance globally and there is an increased need to explore authentic products that are not only luxurious but also high on efficacy.
“Forest Essentials has been a pioneer in every sense and we’re confident that our foray into the UK will enable us to represent India and products made in India successfully in the international market.”
