British luxury retailer Flannels is further growing its beauty concept with the launch of a Flannels Beauty in UK city Leicester.
The 35,000 sq ft store, which follows the opening of a Flannels Beauty flagship in Sheffield’s Meadowhall last month, is located in Leicester’s Fosse Park.
And the retailer will further expand its presence next year with the opening of a Liverpool venue.
The Fosse Park launch marks another step for Flannels, which first opened in 1976, into the beauty arena, which it intends to overhaul.
Unlike traditional beauty halls, whose retail experience, it says, is guided by the politics of brand ‘real estate’, Flannels has reinvented the traditional beauty hall as a ‘beauty haul’, referencing the modern consumer mindset and reflecting the way consumers want to shop multiple brands, products and price points at once.
Michael Murray, Group Head of Elevation at Flannels, said: “We believe everyone should be able to enjoy and feel part of the world of luxury beauty, and our new regional flagship store in Leicester brings a world-class offering to the city.
“With our strategy of regional expansion, we are one of the key players focused on rebuilding the UK high street, and we are confident our regional beauty destinations will excel.”
