Claims/Bioinstrumentation
Our laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies that measure a variety of human skin attributes (i.e. color, hydration, firmness, etc.).
Safety/Clinical Trials
CRL provides human repeated insult patch testing (HRIPT) as both shared and exclusive panels. We also offer a variety of safety-in-use (SIU) studies to meet the needs of any specific product category.
Photobiology
SPF (UVB) and UVA label claims are a critical component of sunscreen and other consumer products. CRL is equipped with the newest solar simulators and the proper facilities to provide static, water-resistant, and very water-resistant SPF tests following the approved FDA Monograph and International methods.
Microbiology
Microbiology is broken down into two main categories, classical and antimicrobial. Preservative efficacy testing is the main classical test performed to ensure that the product has enough preservative to protect it during the life of the product while in the consumer’s hands. Antimicrobial claims are a set of FDA monograph requirements used to support categories from surgical scrubs through antimicrobial hand washes and are customised to meet the requirements for each individual product tested.
Cosmetology
Our full-service salon and staff of cosmetologists can provide hair, nail, facial, and ethnic product evaluations.
Pediatrics
CRL can provide the subjects in their proper age group, as well as the Pediatrician and clinical staff with the knowledge to evaluate a wide range of products intended for use on children.
Consumer Research
CRL has Consumer Perception and Focus Room capabilities. Our 20’ by 14’ viewing room comfortably seats up to 25 subjects and it is equipped with sate-of-the-art equipment for quick, accurate, and flexible real time data capture.
Product Procurement, Blinding, and Distribution
CRL provides services in Product Procurement, Product Blinding, and Distribution for in home use testing. We can purchase competitor products, blind them, distribute them to study participants for in home use studies across the country and track their receipt.
