DSM-Firmenich sales top €2.3 billion in Q3 2026 due to volume-led growth

The fragrance and flavour company’s earnings were bolstered by its fine fragrance offering, alongside benefiting from reformulations across its beauty portfolio

DSM-Firmenich sales have topped €2.3bn in its third quarter of trading in 2026.

Adjusted EBITDA also rose 8% like-for-like (LFL) to €482m from €458m, driven by an increase in volume-driven sales growth in perfumery and beauty.

DSM-Firmenich stated that ongoing innovation in its beauty portfolio helped to sustain sales during the quarter.

“We delivered another good quarter of volume-led growth and continued adjusted EBITDA margin improvement,” said Dimitri de Vreeze, CEO of DSM-Firmenich.

“All businesses contributed well, demonstrating the quality of our portfolio in an ongoing highly dynamic global macroeconomic environment.

“Moving into the fourth quarter, business conditions remain supportive, with a healthy innovation pipeline, high win rates and continued good sales growth.”

Fine fragrances also maintained strong momentum for DSM-Firmenich, with high single-digit LFL growth, particularly in prestige fine fragrance markets.

Consumer fragrances, meanwhile, delivered another quarter of double-digit LFL growth thanks to innovation and reformulations.

DSM-Firmenich’s ingredients achieved mid-single-digit growth.

“We are well on track to deliver our 2026 targets, driving top-line growth and margin expansion, while maintaining a strong focus on cash and capital discipline.

“In addition, our cost savings and restructuring programme are progressing well.

“Together, this provides us with an excellent platform to deliver on our 2027/2028 targets.”

On 9 February 2026, DSM-Firmenich announced its intentions to divest its Animal Nutrition & Health business to CVC Capital Partners for an estimated €2.2bn, as it doubled down on its nutrition, health and beauty offering.
