DSM’s Personal Care & Aroma Ingredients business unit, one of the industry’s leading suppliers to personal care, home care and fine fragrance markets, today announces the appointment of Mrs. Parand Salmassinia as Global Vice President of Commercial Management and Key Accounts for Personal Care & Aroma Ingredients, with effect from 01 January 2018.
Mrs. Salmassinia will take on responsibility for commercialising the entire Personal Care & Aroma Ingredients portfolio. Speaking of her appointment, Mrs. Salmassinia said:
“The regional organisational set-up of Personal Care, its functional excellence and well-established processes will unlock additional opportunities for Aroma Ingredients. At the same time, merging the units will add a critical mass to Personal Care, generating further business openings and also helping to create synergies. We see this as a clear driver for future growth.”
In her new role, Mrs. Salmassinia succeeds Frederic Boned, who has been appointed Vice President EMEA at DSM Human Nutrition & Health and will report to Gareth Barker, President of DSM Personal Care & Aroma Ingredients. Mrs. Salmassinia will relocate to the Basel region with her family.
A graduate of California State University Fullerton with BScs in Biology and Psychology, Mrs. Salmassinia also earned a Doctorate in Law from Whittier Law School. Later, she gained certifications in Business Management from Henley School of Management in London and Project Management from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
Since then, Mrs. Salmassinia has acquired more than 19 years’ experience in the personal care industry, managing key global accounts and projects for Seppic and Merck before taking responsibility for Induchem’s business in the Americas.
