The beauty arm of Italian fashion house Dolce&Gabbana has introduced a new edp and colour cosmetics range inspired by the peony flower.
The Dolce Peony scent (from £66), created by perfumer Christophe Raynaud, is said to fresh and feminine thanks to its blend of patchouli and peony.
Top notes feature a hint of spicy pink pepper, white bergamot and nashi pear; heart notes of the star ingredient and Bulgarian rose with freesia; and a dry down of yellow plum nectar and amber.
Meanwhile, the colour cosmetics line-up features a trio of blush cushion sticks (£31), which are said to enhance customer’s natural glow, an eyeshadow quad (£44), eyeliner (£28), a trio of lipglosses (£36 each) and nail polishes (£21 each).
Peonys are a symbol of positive energy, particularly in Asian cultures, where it symbolises luck, health and wealth.
