The new ‘smarter’ ingredient is said to save on cost and formulation time

European ingredients manufacturer Cornelius has revealed a new water-in-silicone emulsifier that is said to save ingredients and formulation time.

The new Cor-Sil Advance ingredient is developed by cold-pressing and reduces production batch time by 75% when compared to traditional formulation methods, said the company.

The firm maintains the product still possesses the same quality feel, with a light and ‘elegant’ texture.

“Cor-Sil Advance disrupts traditional water-in-silicone formulation methods, offering a brand-new approach to formulators,” said Cornelius’ Head of Strategic Marketing, Liam Smith.

“With Cor-Sil Advance, customers can achieve a reduction of up to 40% in formulation costs.

“When combined with improved energy efficiency and capacity liberation, our breakthrough ingredient represents a cost-effective solution for streamlining the water-in-silicone formulation process.”

The ingredient does not use elastomers, additional film-formers or additives.

Smith concluded: “As we strive towards a more sustainable future, where performance is still key, our ingredients must work smarter not harder.

“Cor-Sil Advance demonstrates that when it comes to the next generation of formulation, less is most definitely more.”
