Carniv-eau-rous: Burger King launches fragrance
Burger King has launched a meat-scented cologne as part of a tongue-in-cheek PR stunt. The fast food chain is marketing men’s fragrance Flame as “the scent of seduction with a hint of flame broiled meat” and has set up a website, www.firemeetsdesire.com, to accompany it. The site reads: “The Whopper sandwich is America’s favourite burger. Flame by BK captures the essence of that love and gives it to you.”

Consumers who are brave or hungry enough to give Flame a try can buy it for $3.99 from a New York retailer or via the website. An informal survey conducted by newspaper the Boston Herald indicated that some men would actually be willing to wear the fragrance.
