Career advice: How I became Managing Director of Sephora UK

Sarah Boyd is the Managing Director of Sephora UK, one of the world's leading multi-brand retailers. 

Prior to joining the LVMH-owned beauty retail giant, she spent more than three years at L'Oréal before joining Bourjois as Commercial Director of the drugstore make-up brand. 

"Careers are not a race, and shouldn’t be a competition, support other people to be successful and you will be more successful yourself," Boyds tells Cosmetics Business. 

She joined Sephora in 2018 as Head of Markets and New Ventures for the South East Asia Pacific, before being promoted to Managing Director of SEA and then returning to her home country in December 2022, following Sephora's return to the UK.
