Boots has announced an expansion of its on-demand health and beauty delivery via Deliveroo and Uber Eats to almost 500 stores across the UK

Boots is undertaking a “major expansion” of its on-demand delivery service via Deliveroo and Uber Eats, doubling its reach due to UK consumers changing shopping behaviours.

Customers can now order more than 10,000 health, beauty and wellness products from 500 of the UK retailer’s stores – up from 250 stores previously – via the UK food delivery apps in “as little as 30 minutes”.

Boots said “huge” customer demand has spurred the increased rollout to better meet shoppers needs.

“Our customers love the convenience of being able to order their health and beauty items to their homes, on-the-go and when they are in urgent need,” said Paula Bobbett, Chief Data and Digital Officer at Boots.

“Its popularity reflects how customers expect modern retailers to support their busy lifestyles, so we are looking forward to helping make health and beauty more accessible to more of our customers across the UK.

“Whether it is relief for cold and flu symptoms, medicine for a poorly child, lunch in the office or last-minute gifts, Boots will be there for you, delivered in minutes."

Acne support, including Hero’s Mighty Patch Duo, and baby essentials, such as biodegradable wipes, are among the bestselling items via Boots’ instant delivery.

This news follows Sephora debuting an on-demand beauty delivery service with Uber Eats in the US to bring “a more convenient shopping experience” to its American customers.

Boots first launched an on-demand beauty and health delivery service on Deliveroo in 2021, offering consumers 400 products to be delivered in under 20 minutes.

The retailer then partnered with Just Eat in 2024, with more than 1,000 products stocked at the retailer available to be bought on the UK food delivery app.

The latest expansion shows that the retailer’s on-demand service is rising in popularity.

“Customers are increasingly using Uber Eats to get anything, and extending this service will mean high-quality health and beauty products being delivered across the nation in minutes,” said Katie Hunter, Uber UK General Manager, Grocery and Retail.

“The wide range of Boots products our customers are now opting to have delivered – from medicines to gifting or beauty essentials – showcases how deeply the convenience of one-tap ordering is becoming part of everyday life.”

Suzy McClintock, VP of New Verticals at Deliveroo, commented: “More and more customers are turning to Deliveroo for their health, beauty and wellness essentials.

“So we are very excited to expand our partnership with Boots, giving more people across the country speedy access to thousands of quality products.”

Boots is also continuing to offer extended on-demand delivery up to 12pm in ten stores across London, with more stores to offer this late-night shopping option soon.

Boots is now operating as a “standalone company” following the acquisition of its parent company Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) by private equity firm Sycamore Partners.
