Cosmetics supplier Warpaint London is enjoying a successful performance in 2020 after it surpassed its predicted sales for the year ended 31 December.
The owner of cosmetic brands W7 and Technic reported sales of £40m, beating its £37m forecast figure, which was announced by the Board in September.
W7 has tapped former Love Island contestant Olivia Buckland for a number of product link-ups, making her debut for the brand’s #ForEverydayPopCulture campaign.
As supermarkets become the go-to in-store shopping destination for beauty during the Covid-19 pandemic, Warpaint has extended its retail deal with Tesco to introduce 15 new products across more than 200 UK stores.
These products will also be added to a further 469 Tesco Express stores next month.
As part of a wider push to increase its market presence, in June last year, Warpaint inked a retail deal with household goods chain Wilko to sell a selection of W7’s beauty products, adding 100 body care products to more than 350 UK stores.
Speaking at the time of the announcement, Sam Bazini, Warpaint’s CEO, said: “This is the latest development in our strategy to increase the presence of the group’s brands with leading retailers in the UK and internationally.”
