BDK Parfums has received a minority investment from LVMH’s Luxury Ventures Fund.

The French luxury giant has acquired a minority stake in the fragrance company, as it increasingly invests in “iconic brands that are in tune with the times”, according to a Linkedin post.

This is the first time BDK Parfums has opened its capital to an external investor.

“This investment aims to support BDK Parfums' international development and promote its olfactory and creative universe, while preserving the exceptional quality of its fragrances,” BDK Parfums wrote in the LinkedIn post.

The investment follows the French independent fragrance brand opening its first-ever flagship store in Paris, France.

Located at the French capital’s 312 Rue Saint-Honoré, the boutique is described as a “contemporary olfactory library”, where customers can shop the brand’s full product range and discover the raw materials used in its perfumes.

BDK Parfums’ four fragrance collections are available in the space, including its: La Collection Parisienne, La Collection Matières, La Collection Azur and la Collection Exclusive.

BDK Parfums is currently available via retailers Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Fenwick, as well as via its own website bdkparfums.com.
