US direct seller Avon Products, Inc. has named David Powell as Senior Vice President of Business Transformation and Global Supply Chain. He will report to Sheri McCoy, Avon's Chief Executive Officer, and will also join the company's Executive Committee.
As part of his new role, Powell will lead Avon's Global Supply Chain organisation, including sourcing, manufacturing, logistics and delivery. He will also be responsible for the company's business transformation efforts and its Service Model Transformation project, which aims to simplify how Avon representatives do business with the company."Taking complexity out of the organisation while maintaining high product quality and improving service quality for our representatives is essential to Avon's successful turnaround and future growth," said McCoy. "David has a strong track record of leading business transformation and generating growth for large global companies. He is the right fit for this critical job and a great addition to the Avon management team."
Most recently, Powell served as Managing Partner for Midreef Partners, LLC. He was also previously President of Johnson & Johnson’s Medical Devices Unit in Japan.
