Are you catering for consumers’ deodorant wardrobes?

Published: 18-Mar-2025

In January, Unilever unveiled its new whole body collections for Sure and Lynx. The rising shopper demand for whole body deodorants is growing alongside the new concept of consumer’s curating a ‘deodorant wardrobe’

This is where shoppers look to have a range of deodorant products at home that cater to specific needs and occasions, with 74% of UK adults saying they would buy a whole body product on top of their normal underarm product.

Unilever’s whole body products are designed for use alongside consumers’ regular underarm antiperspirants to specifically target odour found across the body, utilising exclusive Odour Adapt Technology™.

Monique Rossi, General Manager, Deodorants, Unilever UKI, says: “We know that one in three consumers in the UK are currently using a deodorant on some other parts of their body or creating a homemade solution. We also know that a lot of them are dissatisfied with the results, because the products that they’re using were not really designed to be for all over body odour protection. They are designed for sweat protection and can cause irritation. This is where our whole body products come in as they are designed specifically for multiple areas of the body.”

Sure Whole Body Deodorant is available in two female (Fresh Citrus and Wild Rose) and two male (Ocean Rush and Active Fresh) scents. Three formats have been developed for the Sure range - spray, stick and cream - to suit different areas of the body and application preferences.
