AkzoNobel acquires Integrated Botanical Technologies
Purchase enhances company’s sustainability focus
AkzoNobel has announced the acquisition of Integrated Botanical Technologies (IBT), a leader in the development of natural, plant derived, and solvent free ingredients.
The purchase includes IBT’s patented Zeta Fraction technology which is claimed to selectively isolate intracellular components from living plants and marine sources through sustainable means. These ingredients are derived from living cells and isolated on the basis of their electrokinetic potential, according to the company.
